virtual cd/dvd rom not recognized

Hi,

the virual cd/rom is not recognized in Windows XP when mounting an image. The Device-Manager has no driver for it. Tried installing the paralles tools twice. Didn't help.

Any solution?

Hello Spank M,

1. Inside your Virtual Machine go to Start -> right click to my computer and choose Manage in the drop down menu.

2. In left panelfind Device Manager and expand DVD/CD-ROM drives right click on Virtual DVD-ROM and
choose uninstall.

3. Shutdown VM and go to configuration, remove CD/DVD-ROM 1 device from the list, click Ok and
add device back. After this start windows

4. And reinstall Parallels tools.
