I go the shutdown and it just turns black and I hear the shutdown tone then i just sits ther and hang in black and will not fully shutdown properly. It hasent worked properley since I installed the Parallels tools. Is anybody else experiencing this problem and if so what has been your resolution Im running 1922 build.
A shot in the dark - is there any chance it's not shutting down but rather Vista is putting the VM to sleep instead? (On some of the vista installs the shutdown button on the start menu gets configured as "sleep.")
Kosh, you're exactly right. The "power" button doesn't shut the VM down. Next to the power button is a lock, and next to the lock is an arrow. Click on the arrow and there is an option to shut down. Im using a macbook 2ghz with 2gb of ram. Now I just realize I was making it sleep versus going to shut down a little misleading I guess but it works now
