Visual Pinball w/ PinMAME in Parallels

Someone here said they got this working perfectly fine last fall:

However, when I start to play a table, Visual Pinball (http://www.randydavis.com/vp/) quits automatically every time. I'm using my Boot Camp partition on my 2.33 GHz MBP. In Boot Camp, it plays, no problem. I haven't updated my BC drivers to 1.4 yet. Could that help? Or could this be a 3.0 specific bug?

Visual Pinball

Has anyone gotten Visual Pinball to run smoothly in any version of Windows? It runs just fine, but it draws a little slow, and is not really playable because the flippers -- the Left/Right Shift buttons -- do not respond fast enough (ie. 1-2 second delay before the flippers move)!
