Some downloads do not work in my 10.5, but the very same download works in the VM of XP that is running on the 10.5 host. For example, I want to download the Mac version of the DropBox application, so I try to download from www.getdropbox.com. Firefox on 10.5 asks for the directory to which the download should be saved and then shows the Downloads window. Then nothing happens as the OS is waiting for the download to begin. It never begins. However, if I copy the download link, open WinXP VM, and paste it into the Firefo address bar, I can download the Mac client... but only on the Windows VM that is running on the Mac client! Anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
