I am running XP pro. Since I upgraded to 4.0, every time I restart I get an error because the machine tries to boot from floppy first then CD then hard disk.

I went into VM Configure. Under Boot Order all the boot order check boxes are greyed out and I cannot uncheck the floppy disk or the cdrom. I was able to check "Select boot device on startup" but this is a hassle to have to do every time.

    >> why are the boot order check boxes disabled?

I'm using the latest 4.0 versions of Parallels desktop for Mac.

    Thanks

    Hello user_on_par,

Most likely Boot Order options are disabled because you opened the Configuration of Virtual Machine while this VM is started and running. Such settings as Boot Order cannot be changed while VM is running. So, you need to shut down Windows VM, open Configuration, and Boot Order options should become available for you.
