VM configuration for Solidworks

Hi,

I installed Parallels trial with Windows trial. Currently using Parallels 11 and Windows 10. My current Solidworks version is 2015.
Specs of my Mac:
- 8 GB of RAM
- 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5 processor

Whenever I load larger assemblies I noticed that my Solidworks is very slow and lagging. I tried using Parallels Pro and changed the configuration settings to "Design" mode. It helped a little bit, although the software is still slow. Then I changed the number of CPUs from 2 to 3. I didn't notice much of improvement. RAM is still in the recommended range of 4 GB. How should I configure all the settings to achieve maximum performance? Also, is there a way to use Parallels Desktop instead of a Pro version and have fast working Solidworks?

Hello AgneP, please try the steps mentioned below:
Go to Actions > Configure > Options > Optimization > disable Free Space: Real-time Virtual Disk Optimization.
Open virtual machine configuration > switch to Options tab > Optimization tab > Set performance to Faster virtual machine; check Enable adaptive hypervisor and Tune Windows for speed. If you're not running on battery power, you can also turn on the Better performance option.
Go to Configure > Hardware tab > CPU & Memory increase to the maximum and let us know how it works.

Doesnt work well for mine. I have a 32 GB RAM, 8 GB GPU, 8 cores processor Macbook Pro. Solidworks dynamic highlight just flashes very slowly rendering it unusable.
