VPN in VM has limited access

I noticed that the VPN established within the Windows 7 VM only provides access to network directories. It doesn't connect well to servers (such as Oracle DB, SQL Server, Lotus Notes) on the network even though I can ping those servers.

Any advice and suggestions are highly appreciated.
