VPN network connection in XP Pro

I have Windows XP Pro running in parallels without any real problems EXCEPT. My office had me install Hamachi VPN in XP Pro. It installed fine even recognizes the connection to the company servers. Problem is I can not see the network. XP wont handshake with the local network or over the internet. I can connect on the OS X side. So I must be one or two mouse clicks away from success. HELP??
 
When you are connected to the remote network thru VPN, your local network access and Internet access are usually disabled for security measures.

Are you able to see and connect to your company resources thru VPN?
