web site rendering in IE

Bit poster
Running XP in Parallels.
In IE many web sites are rendered incorrectly.
I bought Parallels so I could check what my sites look like in MSIE.
But IE gets it all wrong in Parallels.

On a seperate PC they are fine in IE.

And in Firefox they are fine under any system.

So what's going on with Parallels?
