What happens when you migrate?

What happens when you migrate your old pc to your mac? Do you lose everything on the pc and it becomes useless or can you still use it like normal?
 
Hi,

Parallels Transporter copies data from your pc to VM on the mac side. You can still use your pc after migration.
 
Does Data Files Automatically Migrate

Getting ready to do a transport but had a question first. What actually happens during migration? Does it transfer Windows 7, all programs and data?

I've already copied all my data files to my MacBook Air so I don't want to double the data plus I've made changes to some of the folders.
