What would happen if I assigned all memory and all CPU to Parallels?

I know it is stated that this can freeze the main OS (macOS), would I still be able to use Parallels and exit out to macOS after I was finished? Or is it impossible to assign all my CPU and RAM to Parallels? Any information is appreciated. Thanks,

  2. Hi, actually you cannot assign to your VM more RAM than you Mac has.
The virtual machine tends to use the Mac "wired" memory. This is a memory that cannot be compressed or swapped to the Mac hard disk. This is done to provide your virtual machine with the best performance. However if your Mac runs any other applications that use the "wired" memory and the virtual machine's memory is set outside of the recommended RAM range
And we recommend to avoid performance degradation of your Mac.
Please let us know if it's not that case.
