OK, I think I tried every button looking for the exclamation mark on the 2X built-in keyboard. If no exclamation mark, can the built-in Android keyboard be used instead?
The 2X keyboard is designed to emulate the layout and behaviour of a hardware keyboard. So assuming you have the default English-US layout set you need to press &123 then Shft.
You can also use the native device keyboard by selecting it from Settings -> User Input -> Keyboard Layout -> Device Keyboard (Native).
