    Hi,
I'm not a coder, but software I wish to use requires the MS Visual C++ Redistributable be installed.
The app in question is 64-bit. I'm on the M2 Mac running the Arm64 version of Windows 11 in Parallels 18.
Which version of the redistributable do I need? X64 or Arm64? In other words is it determined by the app I'll be running or by the Guest OS?
    Thank you!

You'd need the ARM version of software because the OS installing onto is ARM based. Hopefully it actually works for you 'cause I could never get a game to recognize the install even though the guest OS shows I installed it.

    Thank you for the reply.

In the end, the ARM64 version worked and was recognized. Could it be because, as Microsoft says, this latest version of the ARM64 redistributable "contains both ARM64 and X64 binaries"? Might be worth trying to see if this hybrid version works for you.
