Which version of Windows works best with latest Parallels?

Hi All,

I'm wondering if there is a general concensus around which Windows OS works best with the latest version of Parallels? I was using a Macbook Pro with Windows 8 and Parallels 11 with no problems. I upgraded to an iMac, and whenever I run Parallels everything slows down. Not sure if I should quit parallels and try and get by with Office for Mac (and use all work programs on a work computer), or if an upgraded Windows would do the trick.

ANY help is appreciated. I'm not great with this kind of stuff, but I can normally Google my way through it...not this time. Thanks in advance!

(When I say slow down, I mean it takes 1-2 minutes for my computer to wake up, and 10-30 seconds for what I type to show up on the screen. Web pages take forever to load, and my spotlight search (or anything in my finder) doesn't index for 20ish seconds. Incredibly frustrating.)

Thank you for the response. I completed the steps in that article, but had a problem erasing some of the "temp" files (see attached photo).

Hopefully my performance will improve, but it didn't fix one of my main problems. At work, we use a scheduling software called ClearCare. Through this platform, we have the ability to send messages (text and email) to employees. When an employee replies from their phone or email, the reply comes through our Outlook. We initiate the message through the platform because the entire thread is saved in the employee's profile. However, now when I try to reply to these messages through my Outlook on the PC side of my machine, I get an error message (image attached).

The error states: "Task'JPreciado@ComfortKeeeprs.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC13) : 'Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem.' There are times when the message will eventually send on it's own, but no fix seems to work for more than a few seconds. I installed Office for Mac on the Mac side of my machine, and have no problems sending these messages. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Hello @JuniorP,
1. Some of the files/folders in your temp folder cannot be deleted because Windows/Windows application requires these files. In this case, you could simply ignore them.
2. I see that we have responded to your other forum post regarding the issue with Outlook. Please check and let us know how it works.
Note : Your could try changing the network mode to Bridged(default adaptor) and check if the issue with the outlook still persists.
