Why does my VM use so much memory?

I'm running Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro. The VM uses 123GB of memory and only 2.9GB are free.

How can I make the VM footprint smaller? I'd like to have all my files saved to the Mac so that I have more room on the VM for programs.

Hi Cadec, if you noticed that your Windows virtual machine takes a lot of disk space, use this freeware tool to check its contents.
Note: You have to install Scanner application mentioned in the second part of the article
