Why icons get mixed when transition from coherence mode?

I notice that all my desktop icons on windows get all mixed up because of the resolution change when switching from full screen mode to coherance.

Is there any way of having the desktop icones in windows remain intact when making the transition to full screen mode from choherance mode?

Hi,

As you said, the Windows desktop icons jumps because the resolution change. Full screen and Coherence mode has different resolutions thus Windows try to realign the icons on the Desktop. It is Windows (and Mac too) behavior.

To minimize the issue try do the folowing:

1. Open Parallels Desktop Preferences.
2. Click Appearance tab.
3. Turn off "Change Mac OS X resolution" option

You can also try to use the utility to restore desktop icon positions like Restore Desktop for Windows.

What is the restore desktop utility called and where can I download it? Is it already on xp?

The "change mac osx resolution" was already off.
