Why was unable to open paralells?

Thread was moved from "General Discussions > User Solutions and Workarounds" to "Parallels Desktop for Mac > Installation and Configuration in Mac OS".

I had parallels open for a couple hours in the background while I was doing things on the mac side and when I went to click on the parallels icon it would not open. It later told me that the application wasn't responding.

Any suggestions as to why this happened?
