N NEXUS REX Bit poster Jun 5, 2006 #1 I increased the disk space from 8000 MB to 24000 MB using the Image Tool, but win xp still thinks it only has 8000 MB. Any clues on how to fix this?

Click to expand... I don't think Image Tool is extended the size of the partition, just the size of the disk.

W wesley Pro Jun 5, 2006 #3 You need to use something like Partition Magic to extend the partition to fill the added disk space.

What happened was that the whole hard disk space (at the time) was used to create a single partition. This step clearly occurred in the setup process, but you just forgot about it.
