Win98 Questions on MacBookPro

I have run into two problems -- I cannot seem to connect to my Wireless network from the PC side when using Parallels 3.0, nor use USB flash drives. I would appreciate suggestions.
 
I believe that Win 98 is no longer supported by Microsoft

I have heard that some older software fails on new machines because they are too fast
