Hi there,

Is it possible to get access to local LAN from GUEST (LINUX) over the PARALLELS DESKTOP bridged networking with Windows acting as HOST and running Cisco IPSEC VPN?

P.S. When Cisco VPN within HOST (Windows) is not active GUEST (LINUX) networking (PARALLELS bridged) is fine.

Actually, this configuration was not tested. We'd appreciate if you could send a feedback about whether it is working or not.

I think that it should work in Shared Networking, but it may require tuning of /etc/resolv.conf at Linux-side to point to the VPN's dns server IP.

Access to local network (LAN) resources using GUEST (LINUX) connectivity while HOST (Windows) is connected to the remote network via VPN - that's the objective.

Shared networking will lock GUEST connectivity to the HOST connection (VPN) - therefore local network segment will not be accessible.

Ok, I think I've got the point.

This configuration may work. The only problem is that whether Guest is able to operate in your environment at all in Bridged Networking. I mean, when VPN is not connected, does the VM works ok in Bridged? If it does, then I expect that configuration you described should work also.

And if it doesn't, the task is becoming tough... It is required to configure routing on Windows-side and some VPNs forcibly doing Firewall when they are connected... Just an ideas.. I may not help with this
