I have a late 2012 iMac and have been struggling with terrible Win 10 performance in a Parallels VM because of almost constant 100% disk usage. I was almost ready to trash the VM and use an old Windows 7 laptop instead. This article in CNET about 10 things to disable in Win 10 solved it for me.
