Windows 10 64 bit

I installed the Windows 10 installer as suggested on this site: https://kb.parallels.com/en/125375

The installer installs Windows 10 32 bit. I have Microsoft applications that are 64 bit and these do not install on Windows 10 32 bit and I don't have the installers for 32 bit.

Is there a way to install windows 10 64 bit on my Mac Mini M1?

Hi Andre,

Windows Insider Preview for ARM is a 64bit ARM operating system. It also includes technology to run x86_64 apps.
What apps are not running?

Also, just curious, where do you see an indication that Windows is 32bit?

I am attempting to install Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019.

When I launch the installer, I receive an error (attached) saying "We're sorry, Office (64-bit) couldn't be installed because your computer does not support 64-bit applications. Please try installing the 32-bit version of Office instead.

I have installed Office 2016 instead and it works fine within Parallels Desktop 16 however I'd like to install the Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019.

I believe this is a hardcoded error in Office 2019 installer on any Windows ARM, even the one with 64bit support.
We will communicate this issue to them. MSFT might update the installer at some point.

At the moment, I think the only way to use Office 2019 on Windows on ARM is to use the 32bit version. You might be able to select 32 bit at https://portal.office.com/account#installs (I only have Office 365 and have this option, so can't check with Office 2019 right now). And if it is not available in the portal, then there is a hard path to get it: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/office2019/deploy.

Hi Andre,

We know there were some cases when Windows prompted the same error message on older Windows Insider Preview builds. I'd suggest you try updating Windows Insider Preview build to the latest one (Windows search bar > Check for updates) and check if the issue remains. If it does, please let us know. Thank you!

I updated the Windows Insider preview as suggested although the Office 2019 installer still returns the same error as mentioned above.

I tried the links and wasn't able to get a 32 bit version using my account. Thanks for the suggestion.
