Has anyone else had an issue with the File Explorer in Windows 10 after updating their version of parallels? Whenever I go to browse to a file or attempt to open a downloaded file the task bar flickers and the window never appears.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hello Nicholas,
1.Switch to Options tab -> Optimization. Make sure that Performance option is set to 'Faster virtual machine', and Power option is set to 'Better performance.
2.Switch to Hardware tab -> Video (Graphics). Set 256MB of video memory and Set the desired DirectX version from the drop-down menu.
    3.Check disable vertical synchronization.

Yes, I am having similar issue with File Explorer in Windows 10 essentially failing to launch, as well. I just now tried entering coherency mode and file explorer immediately started working for me. I am going to try steps above from Parallels Support to see how that goes, as well. If I continue to see issues I will update this thread.

The 3 steps suggested by Parallels Support did not fix this issue.

Hi Troy, please create a Problem Report for the virtual machine as described here http://kb.parallels.com/9058 and provide us with the Problem Report ID.

I find that the problem only happened in the full screen mode and coherence mode is OK.

I have been running in full screen mode, by switching it to boot-up in windowed mode (options -> startup and shutdown -> startup view: -> window) the problem seems to have been resolved. Thanks for the input Troy and Shuaiqil, saved me a lot of time.

The original 3 steps posted by parallels support seemed to make no change in behavior. Do appreciate the quick response though.

Quite a strange bug, wouldn't have expected the screen mode to be tied to the file explorer in any way.
