Hi, I have a requirement to enable the USB 3.0 functionality in Parallels. However once I do this in the VM configuration I can no longer boot Windows - I just end up with a blank screen. My Mac has USB3.0 capability so I'm looking for advice as to what could be wrong or maybe missing.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Kind Regards

    Mark

    I have Win10 32bit, and Win10 64bit. The 64bit one merrily runs with USB3 enabled, but the 32bit one won't.
    Is your Win10 32bit or 64bit?.

Hi Roger, thanks for responding. Mine is 64bit as well. Very puzzling. The moment I click Enable USB 3.0 it will fail to boot, uncheck it and it thens goes back to booting as normal. I was wo during if there were Parallels specific drivers missing, but I cannot find any mention anywhere.

At this rate I may have to resort to BootCamp.

    Thanks.

I've just tried with a fresh install of Windows 10 x64, this works perfectly with USB 3.0 Enabled. Therefore my only conclusion is that the problem is with my VM.

I'll stick with a fresh install.

    Thanks for helping, Mark
