Windows 10 not updating because of Hard Disk space

Hi,

Over the past few weeks, windows has been putting up a message that it can't update itself because of a lack of Hard Disk space. I have increased the HD size in the configuration/hard disk screen to a ridiculous 500gig with windows 10 shut down but it makes no difference.

Is there anywhere else I should be doing this?

Hi Arun,

Thank you for your response. One of your colleagues emailed me a solution using the Command Prompt and running DISKPART. I then deleted the Recovery Partition and was then able to extend the C: volume on the Virtual Machine.

So problem solved it seems as Windows has now managed to update itself.
