I'm not sure when it happened exactly, but in the last few days, my Windows 10 taskbar search field has stopped working. No matter what I type into it, a blank/black popup is the only thing that displays. I did install 2 Windows Updates on 2/4, but I am not sure if they caused it or the weird issue where Parallels become "stuck" and the Windows 10 computer would never restart, so I had to force shutdown my MacBook. Here are the two updates I installed: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4534132/kb4534132-cumulative-update-for-net-framework https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4532695/windows-10-update-kb4532695 Any thoughts on how I can fix this? While this Windows VM is only about 3 months old, it hasn't been used much until recently.
Looks like it may have been a global issue earlier and still impacting some people. https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-search-down-many-showing-blank-box-instead-search-results
If Windows 10 Taskbar Search No Longer Works then do the following thing below: 1. Rebuild the Index. 2. Run Troubleshooter of the Windows. 3. Use the System File Checker. 4. Enable Windows Firewall. 5. Disable Third-party Anti-Virus. 6. Rebuild Swapfile.sys 7. Restart Windows Explorer.
