I got Win 10 Tech Preview from Parallels originally. I'm at build 9926. I know that build 10041 is available, but I cannot get it through Windows Update, even though my setting on how often I want new builds is set to "Fast." Routine updates in Windows Update work quite well, but I simply am never offered a new build.
Does running the Tech Preview in a virtual machine prevent Tech Preview from upgrading itself to a newer build? Is it necessary to create a new virtual machine in order to run a newer build of Tech Preview?
