(It would be great if a sticky would be posted on Windows 7 and activation instead of the sticky about windows XP)
I have windows 7 (64bit) installed under bootcamp, and I used vmware in the beginning. This didn't work as good as I hoped so I bought parallels. I imported the vmware image (maybe not a good idea?? I don't know).
Anyhow, bootcamp seemed to be activated fine, but starting via parallels gave me a warning about using counterfeit software.
After parallel tools was installed I called windows activation phone, and voila, the parallels version was activated.
However if I now boot under bootcamp, it now says it is counterfeit!! aargh
