Windows 7 or Windows 8 for Parallels 7

I've loaded Parallels 7 on my MacBook Pro and when I try to start it from my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit disk, it seems like it can't read it. Is Parallels 7 not compatible with 64-bit Windows?
