Windows 7 playing games slower than old laptop XP

Hi all

I have installed the latest Doctor Who game on my mac under parallels. I have Windows 7 under parallels.

What I am not sure about is that I have set up 2 gig for Win7, but still the game is really jerky and the sound is glitchy.
I checked the games recommendations and assume they are up to speed on my late 2009 MacBook Pro with 4 gig.

Strange thing is my sons Dell laptop that runs Xp and is about 4 years old plays the game much better and it is UNDER the recommendation.

ANy ideas how to fix this issue?

I have the latest Parallels updates and current OSX etc

Do you have graphics set to higher performance in System Preferences?

Increase the VRAM to the maximum 256 MB and turn on 3D acceleration in Virtual Machine -> Configure -> Hardware -> Video.

If that doesn't help, then try turning off 3D acceleration. Also play with the Vertical Synchronization option.

For games, you'll get more performance using Boot Camp instead of Parallels.
