My start button running Windows 7 Ultimate on my MBPro has never looked right; noticed it was not the same as that on a new W7 system I purchased and cannot figure out how to change it. Screenshot attached. Is this related to an incompatibility with my MBPro & Parallels 6B?

    Thanks,

I believe you are running MacLook, a Parallels feature. That gives Windows a simplified grey look like OS X as well as moves the close/min/max controls to the upper left instead of the usual upper right of Windows windows. As part of its icon simplification, the start button gets that flat look.

You can turn off MacLook under Parallels Desktop - View menu.

I like MacLook a lot especially when I go into Coherence mode because all the windows look similar.
