Windows 7 upgrade from Vista - how?

Sorry if this has been covered.

I have a Santa Rosa Macbook Pro (MacBookPro3,1) running 10.6.2 and have Vista Home Basic installed on a Boot Camp partition and using Parallels 5. I have an upgrade version of Win7 Home Premium. Should I boot with the Win 7 DVD and upgrade. I assume I should then upgrade drivers with the Snow Leopard DVD ? Any issues ? Which version of Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit). I don't do much with Windows except access the corporate network with IE8 and run Office 2003 apps.

Upgrade is however possible when booted directly to Boot Camp, but you need to make sure you can upgrade from Vista Home Basic to Windows 7 Home Premium. Please contact Microsoft for more details. A useful link would be as well:
