windows 8 or 7?

Hi,
I have parallels 8. Is it required to run Windows 8? If not required, is win 8 better than win 7?

I had previously had parallels 7 so could probably still use that. Is that a better choice?

Going through a cleanup of my mac so have options to pick from.

It hard to say windows 7 or windows is better. You have to consider which one is better according to your type of work. i think both are nice and good.
