Hey, I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1750 and I'm having a problem with Windows 8. Whenever I try to run my laptop, I get an error saying "The application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains erros. File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe Error code: 0x000000f" I downloaded Windows 8 from the website with the download manager. Thanks
You will have to reinstall your operating system - there is a fix to this problem described in superuser.com/questions/523129/cannot-boot-win-8-nor-correct-boot-files
Hello i have the same laptop to get windows 8 to work you have to have the newest BIOS firmware installed otherwise it will not boot, go back to windows 7 install your internet drivers then download the BIOS firmware, flash it, restart and then you can install windows 8.
