Windows Applications stick on Mac Dock

When running Windows 7 on parallels 5 all day, all the applications I have opened stay on the Mac dock, which can add up to 50 or so. There may be dozens of IE icons that stay on the dock, they dissapear after I click them.
How can I stop the windows App icons from appearing on the mac doc, or at least have them dissapear properly after the app has been closed?
