Windows Apps disappeared

I need help with this- I installed Parallels 5 after deleting v. 4 as an upgrade. When I did that, I had to reinstall my Windows XP program.
Now, Parallels does boot up but my previously installed Windows programs do not appear on the menu and I am unable to retrieve them to work with Parallels. I have tried to migrate them-(I don't have disc for most of these since they were Internet purchases) to no avail.
Any help is appreciated-

Please note that if you have reinstalled Windows XP as a part of upgrade process, then you will not have any programs as it will be a new Windows installation.

If you wanted to work with old Windows, you had to convert the old version 4 format .pvm file.

Even now if you have the old Windows .pvm file then just double click on it and it will start up and convert itself to version 5 format.

You can then see all your programs, but if you do not have the .pvm file then we will not be able to do anything.
