I'm running XAMPP under OS X and doing development work under Windows on the same machine. Currently, to connect to OS X localhost from Windows, I have edited the Windows hosts account to include a pointer from "myosx" to the ip address of the Macintosh on my LAN. This means that calls from Windows to the OS X server have to go through my router. Since I started doing this about 2 weeks ago it seems that my router is going down every few days.
Is there a way to connect directly from Windows to the OS X localhost without going through the router? I've tried connecting (in my browser) to the Parallels NAT ip addresses "10.211.55.2" but this doesn't seem to do anything.
Thanks!
