Windows could not start error file missing or corrupt

When I click on Windows XP from Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac I get the following error message: "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt <Windows root>\system 32\ntoskrnl.exe Please re-install a copy of the above file"

I don't know how to go about doing this. I inserted my original XP Home Edition disk, but when I click on the setup.exe I get the same error message.

P.S. I received this error after allowing an automated installation of Parallels Tools
 
I am having the same problem

I just got the exact same message, and cannot start Windows nor can I see any of the files from the Windows portionof the drive.

THis is a serious problem for me; how can I fix this?
