Windows has frozen during shut down

Hi My windows xp has frozen during the shutting down process ( which it seemed to initiate by itself ) and turning off the machine etc does not alter it when I start up parrallels again. Help please.
 
OK I have sorted it . In the Actions button at the top of the Parrallels page there is a 'stopped' button, which I pushed and windows closed.
