Windows Message: Not sufficient virtual memory

Hi, i have the problem that quite frequently i get the Windows Message: Not sufficient virtual memory, and that the pagefile/swapfile will be enlarged. What do I need to do to avoid this message?

My configuration:

Mac OS X 10.5.7 (9J61)
Parallels Build #: 4.0.3844
iMac Intel Core 2 Duo
Total Physical RAM: 4GB
Hard Drives: 640 GB
Not using BootCamp
Parallels Tools are installed
Paralles Memory allocation is automatic and uses 512 MB of Memory
