I'm running Parallels 7 with Windows 7 Ultimate from Bootcamp. I recently upgraded the Windows partition from Home Premium to Ultimate and have been having trouble since. Whenever I start up Windows in Parallels, I get all kinds of threats that my version of Windows is not genuine. Now, I'm quite familiar with all the registration issues documented here and elsewhere, and the solution where you perform the manual phone activation. Well, I simply haven't been given that option. In Windows, it wants me to re-enter my product key (the one I originally used to install) or to "go online to validate". Now, sometimes the online validation works, sometimes it doesn't. But either way, every time I restart the VM I am back in the same spot. Getting quite frustrating, any suggestions? I switched from Fusion to Parallels and am thinking about going back if I can't get this to work. Thanks.
