Windows Password and Hard Disk Space

I have two questions for anybody with computer savvy. For some reason, the Windows virtual machine will not allow me to log in without entering a password that I have never set. What should I do? When I was able to log into the machine in the past, an error message appeared notifying me that my hard disk space was running low. I allocated more memory in the options box, but the hard disk space size stayed the same on the Virtual machine. Please use as much detail as possible in your answers since I am not familiar with computers. I would greatly appreciate this much needed assistance. Thank-you. :cool:

Memory is not disk space. They are two different things.

I appreciate your willingness to learn, however, virtualisation setup is something that requires a few prerequisites. One of them is a reasonable amount of IT knowledged. You really need to learn computers a fair bit more before trying this type of thing.

in case of windows XP, you always define at least one password during setup routine for the admin account

dont mix that point up with autologin or similar.

regarding recovery of the password, 3 basic ideas:
--
a) hard-core way is brute-forcing the Pw...not your choise as beginner
b) reinstalling windows: would by a way as beginner
c) google for: "recover windows xp password" - there are ways to redefine a password in xp, but there are more then one way and the most ways need someone with at least a bit m$- knowledge

or, just ask a friend with windows-knowledge who can fix this without probs

If you haven't set a password, it will be blank, so just click OK as if you had typed on in and it should work.
