Hi - I have an old film scanner which only has drivers for Windows XP 32 bit. Currently I have a separate desktop running this software, but I was wondering if its possible to install an old Windows XP 32bit on my current Macbook via Parallels and therefore ditch the PC. I would then connect the film scanner to the laptop with a USB to USB-C connector. Any thoughts if this can work?

The film scanner is a Nikon Supercoolscan 5000ed and the software is called NikonScan. NikonScan is a far superior software so want to preserve this, but use my modern laptop :).

    backwards compatibility of NikonScan.
