Windows XP hanging after Transporter installation

Hello:
Trying out Parallels 9 just now.
Windows XP hanging, with occasional hourglass showing very briefly beside white cursor arrow, with and without XP Pro CD in drive, after pressing return and waiting over an hour (see attached screenshot). Help, please!
