WindowsXP VM to Mac VM

Hi All - just looking for some advice. Have a client who's created a WindowsXP VM using the Win version of Parallels to be used in the mac version. Transferring the VM was fine, but when opening on the Mac I see the 'Unable to connect to Hard Disk 1' error.
I'm relatively new to Parallels, but have checked the obsvious things like permissions etc. Is there any things that I should be looking at.

Don't know if this helps, but I noticed that the VM saw my SATA drive as IDE0:0 and the DVDROM as IDE0:1
Check the Hardware tab in Configuration...
and experiment.
