Hi folks,
I am experiencing the blue screen of death (STOP c000021 unknown hard error) when booting XP in the Parallels vm.

Is there some means by which I can expand the hdd image and repair it, or recover data files? Can this be done on another system ?

Multiple hdd drives ?

appears that we may have read the same book.
Being a DOS nut, I have written a BAT file that accumulates my files from OSX, WINXP, and shared partitions, and writes them to a USB key. However, as my backup runs but once a week, there are picture and data files that I would still like to recover from my corrupted winxp.hdd.

Is it possible to connect a *.hdd image file to an XP VM as an additional (non-boot) drive?

I have spent a few hours reading the docs and experimenting. I have repaired my image and now have it operating as before.
