Wired network/ Fixed Ip issue on the Windows side

Greetings. One of the main reasons I got Parallels is to be able to "talk" to video engineering devices via TCP/IP using a windows only app and a fixed IP address on Windows . I seem to run into regular issues, as I often need at the same time wireless internet connection on OS X. I am still confused about what would be the right settings in the Parallels network config/Windows config and would really appreciate some help on the issue.

Cheers,

GD

Do I understand right that while VM is bridged to WiFi sometimes network is available at only one side (either VM or Mac)? It is likely due to settings on WiFi router, the likely reason is http://kb.parallels.com/en/117191

If your network environment behaves this way, you either need to contact network administrator (may be they will agree to reconfigure the router), or use wired networking

The problem is on the VM side. Mac is on wifi, VM/Windows is on fixed IP on a LAN. Mac works, not VM (no network connection, failed ping).
