Word files don't open on the VM though Word = standard app

MS Office files can no longer be opened by double-clicking in the Finder since the last update, although Word or Excel are set as the default app. And the MS Office programmes no longer come up when switching programmes with Cmd-Tab.
Does anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance!
 
Hi Anand, thanks, done. But it doesn't help. The installation process jumps directly from 2 to 6, I don't get prompted for 3, 4 and 5. What can I do?
