Write IMG file to parallels disk drive

Hi,
How to I write an image to parallels disk drive? I have an img file that i can write to a USB drive using dd. But how do I write this file to a parallels hdd? VirtualBox has tools to convert it, but i cannot find anything for parallels.

It depends what this image contains. If it is a plain disk, you may try to rename it with ".hdd" extension and then add this .hdd-file to VM configuration as a new virtual hard disk.
