XP Activation and multiple VM instances

I've been running XP / Boot Camp under Parallels for months. Now I just tried installing the selfsame XP in a Virtual Machine, using the selfsame product key. It tells me I have 30 days for activation.

What to do? Can XP be made to think that two different instances running on the same Mac are the same activated copy? Can I avoid buying a new XP and still do this?

Found my own answer

Turns out that if you ask Windows to activate online, and it thinks it's still the same machine it activated last time with this key, it just does it. Takes a moment, no questions asked.
